*43 Findlay players are either currently playing division 1 basketball, have played, or will do so in the fall. *The Pilots are 157-8 in 5 seasons with Coach Simon as Associate Head Coach

*2007-08 season the Pilots finished 30-0 in the regular season and lost by 2 in the prep school championships to finish 32-1

*2008-09 season, Findlay finished 33-0 record and were the National Champions by winning the inaugural ESPN Rise National High School Invitational. Findlay was ranked #1 by ESPN Rise, USA Today, Rivals.com, MaxPreps.com in their final polls. Rivals had Findlay #1 from wire to wire this season.

*2009-2010 season, Findlay finished 32-2 and won their second straight ESPN Rise National High School Invitational Championship

*2010-2011 season, Findlay finished 28-4 qualifying for the ESPN HS National High School Invitational Championship

*2011-12 season, Findlay finished 32-1 winning their 3rd ESPN HS National High School Invitational Championship in 4 years

*2012-13 season, Findlay finished 35-1 finishing the regular season 34-0 before advancing to the semifinals of the NHSI

*Findlay has averaged 88 points per game, allowing 56 over 6 seasons

*The Pilots have won 159 out of 192 games by double digits since 2007

*Findlay has played only 15 games within 3 points in 6 years

*Findlay has played 19 nationally televised games since April 2009 on the ESPN networks as well as games televised on local TV networks across the country, going 16-3 vs the Nation's best

*Findlay has won 3 of the 5 National High School Invitationals going 10-2 in the most prestigious high school event

*Findlay has played in the national championship tournament final game in 4 of the last 6 seasons

*The Pilots have had 36 international players from 22 different countries

*Findlay has had 4 alums drafted since 2010 including 3 first round picks: Avery Bradley (Boston Celtics), Cory Joseph (Spurs), Tristan Thompson (Cavs), and DeAndre Liggins (Magic)


Todd Simon was part of the founding Findlay College Prep staff in 2006 as an assistant coach and resident director for the student-athletes. Simon's responsibilities include recruiting, assisting with daily practices, scheduling, player development, camps, public relations, post player development and other related coaching activities. In addition he served as a mentor living with student-athletes for 4 years.  While at Findlay, the team has had 36 international student-athletes from 22 different countries as well as 7 McDonald’s All-Americans, 7 Jordan Brand All-Americans, and 7 Parade All-Americans.  The Pilots are 192-9 in the last six seasons, with a 2009 undefeated consensus National Championship and ESPN National High School Invitational Championships in 2009, 2010, and 2012. In his first year as head coach of the Pilots, Simon led Findlay to a 35-1 record including an undefeated regular season and a co-mythical national HS championship by Blue Star Media.

Simon came to Findlay College Prep from UNLV, where he spent two seasons as an aide to coach Lon Kruger with involvement in video scouting, as well as camp and recruiting organization. Prior to joining the Runnin' Rebel Staff, Simon gained experience at Pepperdine University under head coach Paul Westphal and his staff. He started his career as the head junior varsity boy's basketball coach at Harrison High School in Harrison, Michigan. In 2006, Simon worked as a member of the support staff for Team USA during their training in Las Vegas, Nevada where he gained experience working with the highest-level players and coaches in the world. He has also been a veteran of summer camps around the country. Simon has also worked Michael Jordan's Flight School in Las Vegas and Giants of Africa Big Man Camp in Lagos, Nigeria. 

Previous to his time at Pepperdine, Simon worked for Beverly Hills based Fingerprint Communications specializing in publicity, events, marketing, branding and talent relations for their celebrity clientele.  Simon graduated from Fowler High School in Fowler, Michigan. He was recruited out of high school to attend Central Michigan University on a full academic scholarship as one of their Centralis Scholar Awardees. Simon graduated from CMU's Honors program Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in B.A. with majors in Sport Studies and Management Information Systems. He completed his M.E. in Sport Education Leadership from UNLV in 2010 and will continue to pursue his doctoral degree.  Simon and his wife, Kati, have two sons Rece born in February of 2011, and Raylan born December of 2012.
